Inicia Semana de Alta Costura en París su primera edición virtual

Dior y Schiaparelli abrieron la Semana de Alta Costura de París con la presentación de sus colecciones, esta es la primer edición virtual de este evento, Dior realizó sus diseños en miniatura para filmar un video

Este lunes dio inicio la Semana de Alta Costura de París, que en esta ocasión se realiza en un formato digital, debido a la pandemia por COVID-19, los participantes deben presentar en videos sus diseños.

El primer día fue el turno de de Dior y Schiaparelli, este último abrió la Semana con un video corto, con Daniel Roseberry, su director artístico como protagonista.

Se puede observar a Roseberry sentado en una banca de un parque en donde el diseñador dibuja los bocetos de una colección que por ahora no pudo confeccionar.

Collection Imaginaire Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2020/21 by @danielroseberry On June 29th, 2020, I woke up early, got ready in my New York apartment on 12th street, put on my mask and headed outside to face another day of life in quarantine. Three months ago I was marooned in New York while taking a quick trip back to the States. Since then I have bee living in isolation while Maison Schiaparelli took a hiatus. Everyone has their own lockdown story, some harrowing, some tragic, some utterly lonely. The luckiest of us have been able to spend this time in nature, far removed from city life. My own experience was shared with millions of other Manhattanites: It was privileged, but nothing extraordinary. What was extraordinary, however, was the ability to walk into Washington Square Park on a Monday morning and sketch out an entire Couture collection. Life today is lived according to opposites; the pandemic has inverted everything we knew. Now, instead of a team to execute this collection, I just have my own imagination. Instead of the Place Vendome in Paris, it’s been designed and sketched on a park bench. Everything has changed, but imagination, and the drive to create, has never been more relevant, or more profound. This collection is a tribute to that impulse to create. It’s also why the world of Schiaparelli has never felt more reflective of our time. Elsa’s commitment to the surreal, her fascination with inverting our everyday reality, has never been more timely. This collection is full of tributes to her work and her obsessions, done in my way, on new terms. Someday very soon, I will venture back to Paris and hand these styles off to the Atelier. We will make a portion of these and take them around the world to share with our valued clients and stylists. Imagination and dreams can be profound, but they are even more so when they guide us into action. Without putting our dreams into practice, these abstractions would be denied their ultimate power. “El 29 de junio de 2020, me desperté temprano, me preparé en mi apartamento de Nueva York en la calle 12, me puse la máscara y salí para enfrentar otro día de vida en cuarentena. Hace tres meses fui abandonado en Nueva York mientras realizaba un rápido viaje de regreso a los Estados Unidos. Desde entonces tengo abejas viviendo en aislamiento mientras Maison Schiaparelli tomó un descanso”, indicó el diseñador.

Por su parte Dior, presentó su colección en un video, donde en 37 mini maniquíes mostró su colección, el cineasta italiano Matteo Garrone fue quien dirigió el clip de la empresa de moda.

“Las imágenes surrealistas vuelven visible lo que por definición es invisible. Me interesan el misterio y la magia, que son también un modo de exorcizar la incertidumbre sobre el futuro”, dijo Maria Grazia Chiuri, diseñadora artística de la colección.

Behind the facade of 30 Avenue Montaigne, the beating heart of the house of Dior can be found in its fabled ateliers. For the Autumn-Winter 2020-2021 Haute Couture, @MariaGraziaChiuri recaptured that sense of wonder with miniature dresses contained in a traveling trunk bearing the emblematic Paris facade. Cabe recordar que la Federación de la Alta Costura y la Moda había cancelado la celebración, sin embargo, decidió apostar por una edición completamente virtual.

Durante su primer semana, presentarán sus colecciones: Schiaparelli, Maurizio Galante, Iris Van Herpen, Christian Dior, Chanel, Alexandre Vauthier, Elie Saab o Valentino las cuáles podrán mostrar sus colecciones otoño-invierno 2021.
